A Crusading knight and his men-at-arms are captured during a raid on a trading village outside of Damascus. They are taken prisoner and brought before the Emir of the region. He plans to sell them into slavery or keep them for ransom. However, as a present to his daughter Yasmina, the Emir offers her to choose one of the men as a servant, or to use him as she sees fit. Cadwin catchers her eye.
