Good afternoon, dear readers and valued friends. I hope this week doesn’t find you scattering for cover. I have just a few little updates.
Weekly Update
So, I’ve got a few things, but not a whole book.
My wife and I are in the market for a recording microphone to do a couple readings of some of my stories. We’ll probably do these once a month.
I’ve seen some interest in doing book reviews for a monthly blind book subscription I have with Heatwave Books. I’ve also seen a few friends suggest an “unboxing video” as well, since it’s a blind book. The packaging is always fun: there’s little stationary goodies, and fun magnets and stickers with every book. So, what’s not to love about that? Mary darling wife will be managing the camera for those.
WIPs
This week’s new story will be last week’s poll winner, Consequences for Service (Female POV). Synopsis: A woman joins the army in a country where women are forbidden to serve. Once discovered she’s not a he, she’s offered two choices; dishonorable discharge, or she can stay on with her earned rank and pay, but when off-duty, she has to be the company whore. Surprising the whole base, the second option is everything she wanted.
I still owe Substack a story because last week’s story turned into an 8,700-word behemoth. It’s also been a while since I did a free advertising story, so keep an eye out for one on Reddit, Literica, and AO3 for that!
I don’t have a poll for this week, because I’m planning a new chapter for The Chef’s Apprentice. I left substitute teaching and went home to the restaurant because it’s way better pay and more stable, so it’s been calling me back to The Chef’s Apprentice. Sound off in the comments if there’s any hope or action tags you’d like to see in the next chapter.

Hey team, I’m Chris Jackson. I’m a very soon to be happily married man. I have a degree in History and English from a little private college in upper Michigan, U.S.A. that no longer exists. I’ve been writing since before I knew how to use a word doc. Getting in trouble in elementary school, my teacher had to tell me I was supposed to be thinking about why hitting my friend wasn’t cool, not writing stories about the American Civil War in a notebook. Go figure. Now a number of years and one puberty later, I write smut for you fine folks and try to spend less time on my feet in the restaurant I’m a part-time manager at. I’m also a substitute teacher when I need a little extra help.
